Did you know as many as 1.2 million Canadian youth are struggling with mental illness? I was shocked to learn that 4 out of 5 of these young people aren’t receiving the care they need.
I felt compelled to do something so I’m participating in RBC Race for the Kids for the 8th time. RBC Race for the Kids is a charity fundraising race that supports youth mental health.
I’m raising money for the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook, an innovative program that connects young people struggling with mental illness and addiction to the help they desperately need. Our family has personally used the services of the Family Navigation Project over the last couple of years and they have been so helpful directing us to services and resources that are often hard to find.
The Family Navigation Project is 100% funded by donations from caring people like you.
Your donation through my fundraising page helps ensure that young people and their families find the mental health care services they need.
I believe we all benefit when we help young people. When you make a donation through RBC Race for the Kids, you’re supporting a life-changing program that allows youth in our community to get help for mental illness so they can reach their potential.
Thank you so much for your support of the Family Navigation Project and RBC Race for the Kids.
