As a parent to two incredible daughters, ages 16 and 11, I think every day about how important it is to support their mental health. I also care deeply about the mental wellbeing of all youth in our community.
It’s staggering to know that up to 1.25 million youth in Canada will experience mental health challenges. Even more heartbreaking is the fact that 3 out of 5 won’t get the help they need. These numbers aren’t just statistics. They represent real kids, possibly even someone close to you or me, who are struggling in silence.
That’s why I’m participating in RBC Race for the Kids. I want to raise funds and awareness for youth mental health.
The money I raise will support Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project, a completely donor-funded program that helps youth aged 11 to 29 who are facing mental health or addiction challenges. Their families are connected with professional navigators who guide them to the right care at the right time. That kind of support can change everything.
Every donation makes a real impact.
By supporting my page, you’re helping young people and their families find the care they need and deserve. You’re also sending a message that they’re not alone. Together, we can change lives.
Thank you for standing with me and supporting this cause.
