This will be the 14th fundraising run I have done. I started running these runs with my daughter who motivated me to start running 5Ks in 2014 (she was only 7!!) and we have done at least 1 a year ever since. It started as something to do with the kids and has morphed into something we do FOR the kids as well. Did you know as many as 1.2 million Canadian youth are struggling with mental illness? And 4 out of 5 of these young people aren?t receiving the care they need. Likely a young person very close to you is struggling right now and could use some support. By participating in RBC Race for the Kids, a charity fundraising race that supports youth mental health, we can help put more supports in place. I?m raising money for the Family Navigation Project at Sunnybrook, an innovative program that connects young people struggling with mental illness and addiction to the help they desperately need. The Family Navigation Project is 100% funded by donations from caring people like you.
Your donation through my fundraising page helps ensure that young people and their families find the mental health care services they need. I believe we all benefit when we help young people. When you make a donation through RBC Race for the Kids, you?re supporting a life-changing program that allows youth in our community to get help for mental illness so they can reach their potential.Thank you so much for your support of the Family Navigation Project and RBC Race for the Kids.
