Hello Family and Friends,
I’m participating in RBC Race for the Kids Toronto in support of Sunnybrook’s Family Navigation Project.
FNP is Canada’s largest youth mental health navigation program that helps young people, and their families, find the specialized care they need when they need it. This life-changing program is fully funded by RBC Race for the kids and other generous donors. As a free service, FNP partners with youth aged 11 to 29 years to help them navigate the mental health system and appropriate services.
Did you know as many as 1.25 million youth in Canada will experience some form of mental health problem? I was shocked to learn that 3 out of 5 of these young people will not receive the treatment they need. These statistics made me realize there’s probably someone in my circle — and in yours — who’s living in pain.
I felt compelled to do something so I’m participating in RBC Race for the Kids, a charity fundraising race that supports youth mental health.
I’m raising money for Sunnybrook's Family Navigation Project. This free service connects youth aged 11 to 29 experiencing mental health and addictions issues, and their families, with clinically trained navigators who help them access the services they need, when they need it.
The Family Navigation Project is 100% funded by donations from caring people like you.
Your donation through my fundraising page helps ensure that young people and their families find the mental health care and addiction services they need.
I believe we all benefit when we help young people. When you make a donation through RBC Race for the Kids, you’re helping change — and save — the lives of young people affected by mental illness and addiction.
Thank you so much for your support of the Family Navigation Project and RBC Race for the Kids.
