Hi friends!
I recently learned that as many as 1.25 million youth in Canada experience some form of mental health challenge, and 3 out of 5 may not receive the treatment they need.
Those numbers stayed with me, and made me think about how someone in my circle, or yours, could be going through something without having access to the support they need.
That's why I decided to take part in RBC Race for the Kids, a fundraising event supporting youth mental health at Sunnybrook.
I’m raising money to expand access to youth mental health care at Sunnybrook. As youth mental health challenges continue to rise, these funds help reduce barriers to care and ensure more young people can access compassionate support when they need it most. Sunnybrook works to connect youth and their families with the care, resources, and support systems they need to navigate difficult periods in their life.
If you're able to donate, I would really appreciate your support! no contribution is too small, and every donation helps us move a little closer to ensuring that more young people can access the care they deserve.
And if you'd like to join me, I'll be at Mel Lastman Square on September 19 for the 5k run.
Thank you so much for your support :) whether that's through a donation, sharing the fundraiser, or simply helping bring more attention to youth mental health.
