RBC Race for the Kids Volunteer Sign Up

Thank you for your interest in volunteering leading up to RBC Race for the Kids Toronto! This incredible event would not be possible without dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers like you.

Whether you're supporting us in the days leading up to the Race or on Race Day itself, your time and energy will help make a real impact for youth mental health. To join the volunteer team, please complete the Volunteer Registration Form at the bottom of this page.

Pre–Event Volunteer Opportunities

Race Kit Pick Up Volunteers (September 15-18)
Be a part of the Race before it even begins! Assist participants during Race Kit Pick-Up week by distributing bibs and race materials. Additional tasks like set-up and tear-down may be required

Friday Set–Up Crew (Friday, September 19)
Can’t make it on Race Day? Join the Friday Set-Up Crew and help bring Mel Lastman Square to life! Volunteers will assist with setting up tents, moving supplies (tables, chairs, boxes), and organizing activity areas. This role involves physical activity and requires a minimum 4-hour commitment during the day and early evening.

Race Day Volunteer Roles


Date: Saturday, September 20

Help Associate Volunteers
Be the friendly face participants count on! Greet guests at Mel Lastman Square, provide directions, and answer questions. You may also assist with station set-up and tear-down.

Social Media Crew
Be the volunteer to engage and capture by helping our participants take photos with props around the square to share on social media.

Baggage Check Volunteers
Help participants lighten their load! Support drop-off and pick-up at the Baggage Check tent and assist with other on-site tasks as needed.

Start Line Volunteers
Guide runners to their starting corrals and make sure the Start Line is clear of unauthorized items like bikes or scooters. Additional support for set-up and tear-down may be required.

Water Station Volunteers
Keep participants hydrated and energized! Hand out water and sports drinks along the course. Volunteers may help with station setup and cleanup.

Food Station Volunteers
Be part of the post-race celebration! Direct participants to food offerings, assist with serving, and answer questions. Support with set-up and tear-down may also be needed.

Kids' Activities Volunteers
Ensure a fun and safe experience in the kids’ zone! Supervise activities and engage with our youngest participants. You may also assist with station setup and cleanup.

Finish Line & Medal Distribution Volunteers
Celebrate runners’ achievements! Greet finishers with a big smile and present them with their medals. Help may also be needed with set-up and tear-down.

Guest Engagement & Social Media Volunteers
Help us capture the magic! Encourage participants to complete surveys, assist with photo ops, and help share the experience on social media using props and signage around the Square.

Race Kit Pick Up Volunteers
Distribute the race essentials! At the Race Kit Pick Up tent you will help process registrants as they pick up their race bib. You may be asked to help with other tasks as necessary, including station set up and tear down.
